Ted Garrett played by Eugene Clark
Ted Garrett is the Unit Chief who is brought in to replace Stan Eldridge after he leaves. Ted comes across as a very serious individual but he turns out to be quite reasonable and even joins in on several pranks that are played on Myles. The team are initially worried that Ted intends to trim the team by a member but he allows Sue to talk him round. Ted will do anything to help his team out but he always makes sure that it is legal. One of the best things about Ted, apart from being a good man and boss, is his deep voice - it makes you pay attention even though he doesn't need to raise his voice.
